Purpose of critical thinking is to have them understand what is going on in the world.The article talks about critical thinking classes are not teaching people how to think but what and how to think of certain situations.Another way critical thinking is trying to teach us about the world is how to evaluate certain things in the world. When it can be evaluated? what to do with what we are looking for and how to go about it?Science is becoming a part of how people think and how they see things. Not all thinking process pertains to how and when. It pertains to how and why a certain things occurs and sometimes you need science to play a key role in that.When discipline is more evident in the world it is more precise that people see how and why things turn out the way they do.Critical thinking professor are now trying to teach their students that there needs to be a more understanding of the world in which they live in. Why do they do certain things and how does it take place.The article talks about 2 ways to talk about "CORT " thinking manual that talks about how students are needed to understand solutions to different problems. The second, educational testing is important for people to understand what is going on in the world.
